About the role:
Within the Tax team you will ensure accurate tax consultancy advice for our clients including direct and indirect taxation consultancy services, income tax advice for residents and non-residents, fiscal optimization with changing functions and risks, assistance during tax audits and investigations, tax audit and assistance in fulfilling tax obligations. This role presents you with the opportunity of helping clients with business transformation in order to obtain their business goals.
Key responsibilities would include:
- Providing tax consultancy advice (fiscal reviews, opinions and interpretations of legislation in the document of direct and indirect taxes) but also in more complex projects (restructuring, due-diligence);
- Verification and supervision of clients’ tax declarations and tax consultancy upon request for various subscription-type tax consultancy projects;
- Preparation of reports and tax consultancy notes;
- Drafting points of view and fiscal appeals against fiscal administrative acts drawn up by the authorities (eg taxation decisions, fiscal inspection reports);
- Preparation of expertise in the financial accounting field;
- Providing assistance during tax audits performed by Romanian tax authorities;
- Manage client relationships;
- Training and coaching of junior staff member within the team.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a degree in Economics/ Accounting/ Finance.v
- Deep understanding and knowledge of direct and indirect taxation rules (priority being: profit tax, VAT, non-resident income tax)
- Has knowledge of accounting
- Is proactive, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks.
- Has good analytical skills and is oriented towards decision-making.
- Has excellent working proficiency in English
- Is proficient with using the MS Office package.
- Experience level: at least 4-5 years of experience in a profile company that offers tax consulting services;
